We have registered for the Social Impact Schools’ Award, to recognise the work that we do to teach children about social action, charity work and making a difference to the world around them.  This links with our ‘World Citizen’ driver.

Achievement of the award is based on the number of social actions carried out by the children during the year by all the children in school. We register all the children’s actions online and need everyone to get involved!

Engaging in social action has been shown to reap a wide range of benefits for children including empathy, leadership, a sense of agency and enhancing well-being.

Watch the video to find out more about the type of actions we will be taking throughout the year.

Certificates

Children will earn certificates for everything they do to take part. This could be writing a letter, making a poster, donating or a whole host of other actions.

 Aiming High!

Can you collect all 36 stickers?

By the end of the year, some children may have aimed to complete every challenge possible which would enable them to achieve their World Citizen Driver! All children have a copy of the sticker sheet in their folder in school and can aim to complete each challenge 3 times earning a total of 36 stickers! Have a look at the sticker sheet to see what you need to do.

If your child carries out any social actions outside of school, let us know about them and they can achieve more stickers!

For more info about the award and things you can do at home with your child, have a look at the website.

There are a variety of stories of inspirational people and ways they have made a difference.  You may find some challenges that interest you and others that do not.

We will be selecting challenges that are relevant and meaningful for our community.
