The School Council members are responsible for attending regular school council meetings and feeding back information to classes. They keep track of class budget and money for the school fund, come up with ideas and organise fundraising events such as children in need and the Christmas Fayre. In School Council meetings members consider ways to improve the school, and provide information for the SLT and school governors.

So far this year
We have been gathering food for the harvest festival to send locally and across the world for people who need it - e.g. people in Haiti because hurricane Mathew destroyed their homes. Also, some of the School Council children went to Civic Hall with Mr Howitt. There we met the mayor and also the children’s mayor. We heard ‘children’s voices’ throughout the day.

Each class in Key Stage 2 elects two councillors to represent them for the year. We meet every week to discuss issues that affect the school. In addition to this we have organised two fantastic fundraising fairs for Children in Need and for Sport Relief.
